Sometimes the child is doing it for attention. It helps to really understand what's happening in the child's life. Did they not get enough sleep, are they tired, is something going on that you just don't know about? There could be other factotrs, especially if this is not something this child normally does. You could intervene but that could make it worse. If you are lucky to have another teacher in the classroom, move the class away from that child and continue your lesson. Most times the child just wants the attention.
